I have never known a life without animals! From childhood onward, I’ve always had at least three pets in my home at once—ranging from dogs and cats to small animals like gerbils. My love for animals naturally grew into a passion I wanted to share beyond my own home. This led me to volunteer at my local Humane Society in high school and continuing after college, where I became even more comfortable working with animals of all temperaments and personalities. I also received professional training in dog bathing techniques designed to create a calm and relaxed environment. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, safety, and affection, ensuring every pet in my care receives unconditional love in a professional, thoughtful way.

As the owner of an anxious dog, I understand the challenges of finding caregivers who are patient, calm, and reassuring. I know how stressful it can be to leave your home when your pet is uneasy. That’s why I joined Home Away From Home—to be that source of comfort and care, helping pets feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away.

Time management is also a critical part of responsible pet care. I learned this firsthand while rescuing a kitten during college, discovering how to allocate the right amount of time and resources to ensure her well-being. Our pets are family, and they deserve to be treated with the same love, patience, and respect we would give to any family member.

I’m currently pursuing my master’s through an online program, which gives me a flexible schedule to work around you and your pet’s needs. This flexibility allows me to provide consistent and reliable care, helping to build trust and comfort with your furry family members. I’m always committed to doing my best to accommodate your pet’s unique needs and routines!

• I offer a range of homestay options seven days a week including standard, extended, daytime, and overnight homestays. These are great choices for those looking to reduce your pet’s stress ensuring they are comfortable and safe at home.

Every pet is unique, which is why Home Away From Home offers a wide variety of services tailored to meet the needs of you and your furry family. I provide drop-in visits, dog walking, pet taxi services, adventure walks, and homestay care. Each service is designed to ensure your pet is safe, comfortable, and happy while receiving consistent attention and affection.

For all new clients, I require a meet n greet. This is an important step to get to know your pet’s personality, preferences, and routines, and it also allows your pet to meet me in a calm, stress-free environment before any services begin. These initial meetings help build trust and ensure that I can provide the most personalized care possible.

During each visit, walk, or stay, I focus on understanding your pet’s needs and temperament, offering companionship, exercise, mental stimulation, and reassurance. Whether it’s a playful romp during an adventure walk, a cozy snuggle during a drop-in visit, or attentive care during an overnight homestay, my goal is to make every experience enjoyable and stress-free for your pet while giving you peace of mind.

Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I make sure every environment your pet spends time in is secure, comfortable, and free from stress, so they can relax and enjoy their time while in my care. I follow all care instructions closely and pay attention to every detail—because no detail is too small when it comes to your pet’s comfort and safety. I also understand the importance of routines and provide consistent, reliable care that your pet can count on.

Creating trust with your pet is essential for a calm, stress-free experience. I focus on making each interaction positive and reassuring, helping your pet feel safe, happy, and confident. I’m always attentive to their behavior and needs, and I communicate promptly and clearly so you’re informed about your pet’s well-being every step of the way.

Above all, I truly love what I do. Spending time with pets, seeing their personalities shine, and knowing I can make their day happier and more comfortable is incredibly rewarding. Every wag, purr, or joyful zoomie reminds me why I’m passionate about providing care—because for me, it’s more than a job; it’s a joy to help pets thrive and feel loved while their families are away.
