Many pets enjoy the comfort of their own home, which is why we provide an alternative to pet boarding, homestays. Homestays allow your fur baby to stay home in the environment they are most comfortable in while their pet sitter cares for them. Homestays are a great option for dogs who do not enjoy being around other dogs, get anxiety in new environments, or just want more one-on-one attention. We've even met our fair share of cats who love attention so much that they dread when their parents have to leave. So, whether you have an older dog who feels most comfortable at home, a cat who doesn't like being alone, or you just don't feel comfortable taking your fur baby away from home, we have you covered! 

Many pet parents feel anxiety or guilt when leaving their pet home alone at night. We want to solve that problem by providing the highest quality of personalized care. Our homestay service includes overnight care from 9pm-6am plus two daytime 30-minute drop-in visits, during midday and supper time. Although, this is just the minimum amount of time our homestays provide and our pet sitters are known to stay longer if it works for their schedule. If you want your pet sitter to provide more care during the day, you can add additional drop-in visits or dog walking to your booking. We want you and your fur baby to feel as comfortable as possible while you are away, so no request is too much for us. 

You will have a meet n greet with your pet sitter before we confirm your booking, so you and your fur baby can get to know them. We only hire the most loving and responsible pet care professionals to ensure your fur baby receives the highest quality of care. All of our pet sitters are insured, bonded, background checked, pet care certified, first aid certified, and CPR certified. Your sitter will send you daily photos and updates during your pet's homestay, so you can enjoy a carefree vacation. Your pet will appreciate sticking to their normal routine and your pet sitter will love giving your fur baby all the snuggles and personalized care they deserve. 

What you can expect during homestays:

• One flat 24 hour period rate, even for multi pet households
• Overnight care from 9pm-6am at minimum
• One mIdday 30-minute drop-in visit between 11am-1pm
• One supper time 30-minute drop-in visit between 4-7pm
• Optional additional daytime drop-in visits or dog walking (additional fee)
• Follow your feeding care instructions
• Administer medications according to your care instructions, such as pills, injections, subcutaneous fluids, and inhalation treatments
• Follow all dietary requirements and food restrictions
• Always have fresh water available, especially after walks and outdoor play
• Clean up any accidents
• Follow your litter box care instructions
• Provide potty breaks
• Provide playtime
• Personalized care
• Utilize positive reinforcement training techniques
• Daily photos and written updates
• Home and Property Surveillance
• Bring your mail and packages inside
• Water your plants
• Manage your trash
• Follow all of your care instructions
